Campings and Outings

Joy and Connection: Campings and Outings at Sally’s Children’s Trust
At Sally’s Children’s Trust in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, we believe that childhood should be filled with joy, discovery, and laughter. Orphaned and vulnerable children often carry heavy emotional burdens and adult responsibilities.
Our Campings and Outings Program gives these children a chance to leave their hardships behind. Through nature, adventure, and play, we help them heal, build self-confidence, and make lifelong friends.
Our Camping & Outings Activities
We organize safe, structured, and exciting excursions that take children out of their daily environments and introduce them to the beauty of Zimbabwe:
- Holiday and Wilderness Camps
We host multi-day camps during school holidays. Children participate in team-building games, campfires, sports, and outdoor activities that build leadership and resilience. - Educational and Nature Field Trips
We organize day trips to natural landmarks and wildlife areas, such as the Matobo National Park or local nature reserves. These trips spark curiosity and teach children about wildlife conservation. - Bulawayo Cultural and Heritage Outings
We take children to museums, historical sites, and cultural centers around Bulawayo. This helps them connect with their history, art, and community heritage. - Life Skills and Therapeutic Workshops
Our camps are not just about fun; they include group counseling, peer mentorship, and life-skills workshops disguised as interactive games. - Celebrating Milestones together
We organize group birthday celebrations, end-of-year parties, and sports days. These events ensure that no child feels left out or forgotten on special occasions.
